"MOYSA" celebrates its first Christmas!

MOYSA – The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Thessaloniki Concert Hall will hold its first Christmas event on Wednesday the 23rd of December 2015 in the hall AIMILIOS RIADIS.
The newly founded orchestra created by Thessaloniki Concert Hall Organization in March 2015, with a donation of the Foundation "Stavros Niarchos", is a community of young musicians from Thessaloniki, Northern Greece and other areas, which currently has over 80 members.

In the 1st part of this magnificent celebration, the young artists of MOYSA, under the direction of Zoe Zeniodi, will present excerpts from the ballet of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky "The Nutcracker", as well as “Africa, Fantasy for Piano and Orchestra in G minor Op 89” of the French musician and composer of the romantic period Camille Saint-Saëns, with the pianist George - Emmanuel Lazaridis. The second part will follow with the “Ballet Suite no. 1” of Dmitri Shostakovich, a selection of “Waltz and Polkas” of Johann Strauss II, as well as the “Danzón no. 2” of Mexican composer Arturo Márquez.
