I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change

Why, when we find the partner of our dreams, do we spend the rest of our lives trying to change them?

“What are you doing on Saturday night?”. Whoever has ever asked this question and experienced what follows after, will definitely love this musical!
“I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change” is the second-longest running Off Broadway musical, with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro (famous for his Tony award winning musical MEMPHIS) and music by Jimmy Roberts. It has been translated into at least 17 languages and been played in numerous countries around the world.

Its alternative title: “Everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit” captures the hilarious story of this musical comedy. It actually follows the ups and downs of a modern day romantic relationship starting from attraction and dating to marriage and the family life with children. In a series of musical vignettes, it faces life’s most infuriating questions: "What do women really want?”, "What are men really thinking?" and "Why, when we find the partner of our dreams, do we spend the rest of our lives trying to change them?"

Despite the large number of characters, the show is typically being produced with a comparatively small cast: the original Off-Broadway production uses a cast of four.
