The eyes of the world will be on Brazil in 2014, as it hosts the 2014 FIFA World Cup thus, a special issue by PEERMUSIC with a medley of Evergreens such as Brasil, Mas Que Nada and Tico,Tico called THE RHYTHM OF BRASIL FOR SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA arranged by Rene Mense, on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brasil.

PEERMUSIC has had a relationship with the music of Brazil since the early 20th century when the country’s gorgeous ballads and bossa novas began to surface internationally. During this time, PEERMUSIC acquired rights of Brasilian classic “Aquarela do Brasil”, which would be recorded by thousands of artists worldwide including Frank Sinatra, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Bing Crosby and Herbie Mann as well as Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil and Joao Gilberto. Throughout the 1960s, PEERMUSIC would further acquire such standards as Jorge Ben’s “Mas Que Nada” and “Chove Chuva”, both made famous by top-selling Brasilian artist Sergio Mendes.
