The theatrical portrait of the legendary actor John Barrymore, an iconic artist who lived a mythical life, through the confrontation with his past, former glory, defeats and the merciless ravages of time.
William Luce's iconic play "Barrymore: The Rise and Fall of an Idol", is widely considered as one of the most important theatrical portraits ever written.
After its 1996 debut at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario Canada, the play was transfered to Broadway, with Christopher Plummer in the title role, earning him the 1997 Tony Award for Best Actor.
A heartbreak biographical drama, full of humor and emotion in an absolute must see performance!
