MUNICIPAL REGIONAL THEATRE OF THE CITY OF PATRAS: ORPHEE ET EURYDICE
18 May 2017- 28 May 2017 The superb opera Orphée et Eurydice at the Municipal Theatre of Patras "APOLLON"
The performances of the french version (libreto by Pierre-Louis Moline) of the superb opera Orphée et Eurydice composed by Christoph Willibald Gluck, took place at the Municipal Theatre of Patras "Apollon" from the 18th to the 28th of May 2017. Michael Seibel artistic director of the Opera Studio of Patras was the director of the performances.
All lyric singers of the International Opera Studio of Patras and the musicians of the Municipal Conservatory participated. The leading role of Orphée was performed by the famous Greek tenor Antonis Koroneos who has also cooperated with the Greek National Opera.
The connection between the ancient Greek Roman civilization and the ancient tragedy is in total harmony in the said opera, which affects the psychological situation of the audience.
