MRS KLEIN by Nicholas Wright

At Argo Theatre, since 5 May!

Shattered by the sudden loss of her son, the renowned Austrian psychoanalyst, Melanie Klein, confronts her personal impasses, while the conflicted relationship with her daughter and her secretary reveals lurking guilts and traumas.

Nicholas Wright's drama “Mrs Klein” premiered at the National Theatre, London, in 1988 and after its sell out run, was transferred to the West End, enjoying an international recognition. A haunting and poignant look at mother-daughter relationships, this genius play explores the essential role and efficiency of psychoanalysis, proving that, sometimes, healing personal traumas is a difficult path to follow, even for a professional psychoanalyst…
