THE MATCHMAKER by Thornton Wilder

Αt National Theatre of Greece-Stage Marika Kotopouli, since 14 February!

Dolly Levi, a charismatic and clever woman, and a specialist in the affairs of the heart, will do everything in the name of companionship, so that several unlikely couples come together to find happiness, in 19th-century New York!

“The Matchmaker”(1954), by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Thornton Wilder, a new version of his 1938 play "The Merchant of Yonkers", opened on Broadway in 1955, and ran for almost 500 performances, becoming Wilder’s Broadway record! It was later adapted to the legendary musical "Hello Dolly!", one of Broadway’s longest-running plays.

A hilarious and genius, romantic farce about love, money and companionship, in a remarkable production by the National Theatre of Greece, not to be missed!
