CARMEN Ballet -Johan Inger / Rodion Shchedrin – Georges Bizet, Marc Álvarez

The Greek National Opera Ballet presents a new production of the ballet Carmen, choreographed by the acclaimed Swedish dancer and choreographer Johan Inger, which was first presented by the Compañía Nacional de Danza, Madrid in 2015 earning him the Benois de la Danse, 2016 Prize. 

Combining contemporary and classical movement and featuring the classic ballet version of Carmen’s passionate story, by Rodion Shchedrin – Georges Bizet and Marc Alvarez, in a new orchestration by Álvaro Domínguez Vázquez, Inger creates an apocalypric, powerful music-dance performance.
