Athens State Orchestra – MUSIC OF THE NEW WORLD

In the frame of the concerts entitled MUSIC OF THE NEW WORLD, the Athens State Orchestra presents important works of American and European creators who marked the history of the American music.

The Orchestra presents among others:

• AN ANANSWERED QUESTION by Charles Ives 
• CONCERTO IN E FLAT “DUMBARTON OAKS” and  CIRCUS POLKA  by Igor Stravinsky
• AN AMERICAN IN PARIS by George Gershwin

The concerts II, III and V of the tribute to the MUSIC OF THE NEW WORLD, take place on the 8th and 15th of November and on the 6th of November 2013 at the Christos Lambrakis venue of the Athens Concert Hall. The Orchestra is conducted by Miltos Logiadis on November 8th, by Vladimiros Simeonidis on November 15th and by Andreas Tselikas on December 6th.
