Max Richter: Vivaldi Recomposed, The Four Seasons

The International Music Festival Reworks presents, in collaboration with the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, one of the most important composers of neo-classical music, Max Richter, pioneer and initiator of this kind of music, with a glorious career of about 20 years, 5 albums and compositions for films like Waltz with Bashir, Shutter Island, Perfect Sense, Lore, Prometheus as well as for the Royal Ballet Academy of Great Britain, the American Ballet Theatre and the National Ballet Academies of Norway and the Netherlands. He has received many awards and was many times nominated including the European Music Academy nomination.

On the 17th of September Max Richter’s recent work, his recomposition of Antonio Vivaldi’s work Four Seasons is presented. The work was recently released by Deutsche Grammophon. Maestro Harris Iliadis will conduct the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki with soloist (violin) Mr. George Kandilidis.
