Based on John Buchan's classic novel "Τhe 39 steps" and Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece film with the same title, the play, a theatrical adaptation by Patrick Barlow from an original concept by Simon Corbe and Nobby Dimon, was first presented at the Tricycle Theatre, Kilburn, in 2006. Subsequently, it was transferred to the West End and in 2008 made its debut on Broadway, where it ran for almost two years.

This brilliantly intriguing story follows a charming young man, as he races to solve a mystery, all the while trying to save his life and clear his name!  A hilarious smash hit spy comedy, in an imaginative performance, in which just 4 actors portray more than 100 characters!
