THE DOCTOR by Robert Icke

At Amfitheatro Spyrou Evangelatou, since 8 December! Panhellenic Premiere!

When a clinic’s senior physician refuses a Catholic priest to visit a young girl, close to death, a strong confrontation erupts which very quickly turns into a national scandal, through social media.

Robert Icke's award-winning play “The Doctor”, loosely based on Arthur Schnitzler's "Professor Bernhardi" (1912), is a global theatrical phenomenon. Within three years after its triumph in the West End, this gripping moral thriller captivated the world's major theater centers, from New York to the historic Burgtheater in Vienna and from  Adelaide Festival of Australia to the Internationaal Theater Amsterdam.

An astonishingly thought-provoking piece of theatre, which masterfully explores social ethics, personal moral dilemmas and scientific rationality against faith and prejudices.
