COLOMBINE

The Swedish Agency ‘’Colombine Teaterförlag’’ has been representing authors and works since 1984.  The company was founded by Berit Gullberg, who is a writer and publishing manager of the Agency. Berit has been very prolific as a freelance journalist, theatre producer, information and marketing manager at Dramaten (Sweden’s National stage) and Ingmar Bergman's press manager for Fanny and Alexander.

From the outset, Colombine Teaterförlag focused on the representation and promotion of important Scandinavian creators, aiming to protect their rights and develop their works and the local culture abroad as well. Today the company is one of Scandinavia's leading theatre agencies representing more than 300 playwrights, translators and composers internationally.

The company’s large catalogue includes Swedish and Nordic language works by the new generation of dramatists as well as the most established Scandinavian authors such as Jon Fosse, Arne Lygre, Fredrik Brattberg, Sara Stridsberg, Jonas Hassen Khemiri, Henning Mankell, Erik Gedeon, Mattias Andersson, Astrid Saalbach to name only a few. Company's repertoire also includes a large selection of the most successful Swedish plays for young audiences, by remarkable authors such as  Kristofer Blindheim Grønskag, Ulf Stark, Ulf Nilsson and Sofia Fredén. 

In partnership with foreign agencies, Colombine Teaterförlag also represents in Sweden the most acknowledged European creators, along with some of the most popular new authors from UK, Germany and France and explosive new talent emerging in a variety of places overseas.

Colombine Teaterförlag is located in an 18th century house in Gamla Stan, Stockholm.
