The musical “FIRST DATE” at Athinais Cultural Centre

Premiered in Seattle in 2012, arrived at Athinais where prominent artists presented it to the Greek audience.

The fresh musical FIRST DATE -book written by Austin Winsberg, lyrics and music by Alan Zachary & Michael Weiner- which premiered in Seattle in 2012, went to Broadway in 2013, arrived also at Athinais Cultural Centre, where a number of prominent artists transferred its adaptation to greek theatre.

Basing its story around the concept of a “blind date”, the musical has managed to make the audience and the critics love every local adaptation. After all, who finds it unfamiliar, the surprises, the awkward moments of a date when all that you know is the place and the time? Aaron, recenlty divorced, is regarded as a "blind date virgin", while Casey is a “serial dater” who admits her weakness for “bad” guys. They meet at a restaurant after their friends' initiative and the night thereafter unfolds in the most hilarious way, revealing fears and insecurities of the candidate pair.

THE ARTBASSADOR is very happy to have licensed the greek production of the musical, on behalf of the Agent Rodgers & Hammerstein Theatricals Europe.
